1938 Bönhamn

Inspired by his tutor Heinrich Campendonck painting directly from nature in the Lofoten Islands, Folke decided to follow a similar path in Sweden his mother’s country. He found the small fishing village of Böhhamn on the Baltic Coast and stayed seven months. Remarkably in this small fishing village, he met another artist, Brita Horn, who was to become his wife.
