1940 – 1948 Sweden
Getting away from wartime Italy with considerable difficulty, Folke and Brita eventually managed to return to Sweden. During the war art materials were in very short supply resulting in intricate, highly worked paintings including ‘Seglats’ and ‘Horses on the Mere’.
When the war finished, there was a great release to stylised landscapes, lithography and portraiture.
