At a new modern school, a plain and rather austere building beside Lake Mälaren, close to some large grain silos, Folke produced this iridescent and joyous fired clay tile sculpture to decorate and set alight the entrance. His love of wildlife and nature is here, the elusive bittern that booms nearby, the fish from the reed filled lake and the sailing boat above. The colours are brilliant. A masterpiece to light up a gloomy entrance and fire the children’s imagination.
