With his daughter, Beatrice using her new Huskvarna sewing machine, Folke designed and Beatrice embroidered the long panel for the courtroom for the front of the long bench of the 11 magistrates. The words are from ancient Viking legal texts of Sweden that Folke had discovered.
Folke recalls “we chose this text as it is a fine example of how a single court case could lay the foundations for a law, it is admirably straight talking, so direct compared to our lawyer speak of today”. Despite an element of abstract design, the words can still be read.
