Sveriges Allmäna Hypoteksbank 1961
A masterpiece. This large woven picture, 300 x 130cms was commissioned for the main entrance of this long established bank located at Strandvägen No. 1, in the heart of old Stockholm right by the harbour. Folke captures the light, the movement, the joy of sailing on the water in perfect conditions on the loveliest summer’s day, enchanting and evocative, all this achieved in textile. A complete magic and genius understanding of using the materials to such great effect. It was woven at Alice Lund Textilier, Folke had a happy and fruitful relationship working with Alice Lund for very many years.
