Aspeboda 1963
Here, the old church, famous for its five spires, had been tragically destroyed by fire during restoration work in 1959. Fortunately the roof structure was saved and used again for the rebuilt church. The inauguration on Midsummer’s Day, 1963.
Rolf Bergh was the architect for the renovations, and Folke was commissioned for a major collaboration with Alice Lund to design three woven panels to decorate both the choir and organ loft. Folke’s designed a remarkable font for the lettering. The organ loft quotes from Psalm 23 “The Lord is my shepherd…”
As a final flourish, tucked away, is a “Little Devil” wall painting.
