The architect Sven Soderholm asked Folke to make an altar rail based on Psalm 42, “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul for thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”
The beautifully delicate and extraordinary design introduces a striking and modern vision into this traditional church. It is likely that the altar rail was made in Folke’s studio, working with his two blacksmiths.
