Folke began his “Crown of Thorns” window for Mariefred Church at Tetterode’s workshop by experimenting with cement matrix method. However, he decided that the first attempt was not as he envisaged and put it to one side. Folke then made another and it was this second window that was installed at Mariefred. 

Delightfully, later he recounted this story to his friend the cellist Bengt Widlund who seeing the first window told his churchwarden father about it. Hammarby Church with this introduction decided that they would like to have it, and later it was installed there.
