Säter 1950 – 1951
In 1950, Folke was recommended by the architect Sven Söderholm to design the stained glass altar windows for a new Funerary Chapel at Säter that he was building. There was considerable discussion with the architect over the cartoons, the preparatory drawings, two of which are pictured.
These early windows are most striking and hugely successful, and mark the beginning of a close collaboration with this architect. Note the detailing and careful placing of the lead lines and the rich glass colours.
