Östertälje 1961
“Here everything came together” with artist and architect working in perfect harmony.
The “Church of Gifts” was designed by Rolf Bergh and inaugurated in 1962. It is built of concrete and stainless steel with a free-standing bell tower. This was the start of a very fruitful partnership between Rolf Bergh and Folke over many years.
Folke made the two windows either side of the altar, the astonishing long ‘River Jordan Window’, a baptisimal window, and a vestry window of ‘The Cloud standing in the Desert’.
