A major restoration under the direction of architect Bengt Romare took place in 1960–1961. Folke made two wonderful new stained glass windows next to the baptistery showing ‘The Road to the City of God’ and ‘Man and the Kingdom of the Birds’. The windows are alive, with the birds and figures moving, an amazing artistic achievement in glass.
